Alie Ruth Andrews

Alie Ruth Lott-Andrews was born in Saluda, SC on July 10, 1953. A daughter of the late Pickens Lott Jr. and Tennie Ruth Dozier-Lott. She entered into her Heavenly Home on July 27, 2023, at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Alie Ruth was educated in the Saluda County School System. Leaving home at an early age, she went on to marry Earnest Andrews Sr of Johnston, SC on July 11, 1969. From this marriage she was blessed with 5 children and 2 stepchildren. Alie worked for several textile mills over her lifetime. She also worked for the Saluda County School System and Sarah's Snack Bar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cusonya Yolanda Andrew-Patterson, stepdaughter, Deshanta Joye Andrews, and her brother, Christopher Lott Sr.

Alie is survived by 4 children and 1 stepchild: Earnest (Cynthia) Andrews, Jr. of Johnston, SC, Christy (Jesse) Andrews- Nelson of Saluda, SC, Gregory (Raychelle) Andrews of Clearwater, FL, and Donald (Latoya) Andrews of Saluda, SC. She leaves behind 30 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She also leaves 3 sisters; Rhoda Celestine of Gainesville, FL, Jacqueline Banks of Saluda, SC and Dr. Thomasina (Larry) Adams of Gainsville, FL and 3 brothers: Larry (Mae) Lott of Batesburg, SC, Jerridine Lott of Saluda, SC, and Malcolm (Nora) Lott of Greenwood, SC, as well as a host of family and friends.
