Anna M. Stevens-Gibson, born in Saluda, SC a daughter of the late Fred and Georgia Ann Stevens, She quietly departed this earthly life during the early morning hours of September 15, 2023 at a skilled nursing facility in New Jersey at the age of 84. At an early age she joined the Lockhart Baptist Church where she accepted Christ as her Savior and remained a faithful servant of the Lord throughout her life.
Margaret attended Rosenwald Elementary School and a graduate of Riverside High School in Saluda, SC, after graduating in 1956 She worked as a seamstress and eventually took a position as Secretary for the Principal of Riverside High School. In 1964 She was United in Holy matrimony to Franklin R. Gibson also of Saluda, SC., and they moved to Paterson, NJ., where they were blessed with three children.
Margaret held several manufacturing positions after moving to Paterson, NJ., In 2001 she retired from Titan Plastics in East Rutherford, NJ., in 2015 she moved to Edgewater Park, NJ., with her husband and resided there for the last several years of her life. In her early retirement she enjoyed travelling to places such as Aruba, the Bahamas, Mexico, Canada, California, Arizona and Florida. She especially enjoyed coming back to Saluda and spending time with her family and friends also she loved watching her favorite soap operas on the Lifettime channel and her favorite television Evangelists..
Margaret was a dedicated wife and mother, she enjoyed spending tme with her family and helping to raise her grandchildren and givng them words of wisdom.. Her presence will be missed tremendously.
Left to treasure memories are her husband of the home, children, Michele Gibson, Keith ('Preme") Gibson and Dexter Gibson, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two sisters Helen Norris and Ruby Barnes both of Saluda, SC., one sister in-law twp brothers in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, a sister in-law, three brothers in-law and a niece.
