Obituary

Birdell D Perry born in Columbia, SC on May 10. 1947, a daughter of the late Mack L. and Birdell Barnes-Dennis, she departed this life in the early hours of the morning on February 5, 2023R, at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC., She was educated in the public school in Columbia, SC., she was employed at Burlington Industries and Knight's Industries, later Birdell was a private home aide helper until her retirement. Birdell was married to her long-time sweetheart, Carver Lee Perry. To this union they were blessed with two beautiful children Cheryl and Carvina Perry.

Birdell joined Wesley Chapel CME Church where she served in several faithful as a Stewardess, Recording Steward and a member of the Elder's Corner. In her outreach ministry where she would send greeting cards for every occasion such as Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving and many more.  

She was preceded in death other than her parents, her husband Carver Lee Perry, three sister Maxine, Margie, Janice Etheredge and her daughter Carvina. 

Birdell leaves her precious memories with her daughter, Cheryl (Danny) Springs of Saluda, SC., two grandsons, Zachary Bell of Atlanta, Ga., and Shaquille Garrett of Columbia, SC., who was partially reared in the home for several years after the death of his mother, one great grandson, Ethan Bell of Columbia, SC, one son in-law Bobby (Tammy) Garrett of Greenwood, SC a sister, Ada Dennis of Batesburg, SC, three brothers Wesley (Joanne) Dennis of Columbia, SC., Damon (Etta) Dennis of Batesburg, SC, and Larry (Juliet) Dennis of Columbia, SC, two aunts Ruby and Julia Davis of Philadelphia, Pa, five sisters in-law Eloise Perry of Florida, Nancy (Clarence) Springs Sr. of Lexington, SC., Geneva (Frankin) Highley of Batesburg, SC., Dorothy (Eddie) Patterson of Allendale, SC, and Freda Gantt of Saluda, SC., two brothers in-laws Johnny C. Etheredge of Batesburg, SC, and Larry (Mary) Holloway of Saluda, SC, and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
