Dixie Pauline Derrick

Dixie Pauline Derrick, was born on April 18,2002 in Greenwood, SC., a daughter of Kim Long and Crystal J. Derrick.

"Gray Baby" as she was called by those who knew her attended the public school in Saluda County,  was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she would sing, she loved to play football and basketball, and dance.

Those to cherish her memories are; one daughter, Aliyah Simmons, her parents Kim (Leonia) Long of Greenwood, SC., Crystal J. Derrick of Saluda, SC., five brothers, five sisters, grandmothers, Evelyn Derrick and Nana Sonya Karter both of Saluda, SC., six uncles, five aunts, three nephews, six nieces a host of relatives and many friends.  

Service will be Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00 am , Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Reverend Richard Jackson, Pastor   Viewing for the family will be at 12:noon Wednesday, September 1, 2021 and a public viewing will be from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.
