In Loving Memory of Doris Yarborough Long 
Doris Yarbrough Long, born to the late Willie Yarbrough and the late Mary Ann Lott-Yarborough, born on September 13, 1949, departed this life on June 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Self Regional Hospital. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that has deeply touched the lives of all who knew her. 
Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Deacon Jesse James Long; her cherished son, Paul Gerine Long; and her, brothers, Luther, Willie, Odelle, Flemon, Melvin Curtis and Frank Yarborough, though they are no longer with us, their memories remain an indelible part of her story. 
Known as a dedicated intercessory prayer warrior, Doris was a woman of profound faith. She founded and maintained a phone prayer line, where her unwavering commitment and devotion inspired countless others. Her spiritual journey also included her role as a missionary and mother within Abundant Life Ministries, where she attended faithfully and served with a heart full of grace. 
Doris will be forever remembered as a loving mom, Nana, sister, aunt, and friend. Her warm and nurturing spirit enriched the lives of her children: her son, Pastor Marcus Long (Daniella); her daughter, Jessica Long, both of Saluda and her bonus daughter, Rudean Harris of Newberry She leaves behind a treasured legacy in her grandchildren: Marcio (Damian) Buxton, Aiken SC Marcedes Long, Jamarion Williams, Jesselyn Long, David(Jackie) Gallman, Malcom Harris and Yoland Harris and about 20 Great-Grands, She also leaves one brother, Wade Yarborough of Saluda, SC, Seven sisters, Helen Johnson of Philadelphia, Pa, Canary Gary-Smith and Willette Henely both of Waterbury, Ct, Mary Davenport of Cowpens, SC, Gayle Yarborough of Aiken, SC, Joann Campbell and Brenda Williams (Jesse) both of Saluda, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. also leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends, all of whom will miss her deeply. 
Her life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and community. Doris Yarborough Long's gentle and giving spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She has now found eternal rest; held in the embrace of the Lord she served so faithfully. 
May her soul rest in peace, and may her legacy continue to inspire all who carry her memory forward.
