Evelyn Chapman-Derrick born in Saluda County SC to the late David L and Agnes Dukes-Chapman. Evelyn entered into her Heavenly Home on August 3, 2022, she was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church at a early age, attended the public school in Saluda, SC. she was a loving mother and grandmother, Evelyn was a lady who could talk on the phone all day if she could, things that she loved were pigs, chickens, and Garfield the cat.

Evelyn will cherish her loving memories; one son Edward Derrick of Graniteville, SC, one daughter Crystal Derrick of Lexington, SC. seven grandchildren, Timothy Moroney, Brandon Hancock, Hope Derrick, Preston Weigle, Nathan Weidner, Rose Hancock, and Debra Jean Derrick, thirteen great grandchildren. three sisters Linda Marullo , Patricia Walker both of Saluda, SC and Ilene Williams of Laurens, SC. two uncles Buck Chapman, James Duke. a host of relatives and many friends.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Debra Hancock, two grandchildren April Dyches and Dixie Derrick
