She was born in Roanoke, Va. a daughter of the late Yvonne Craggett and James Earl Cox Sr. She attended the Roanoke City Public Schools. Evie joined the Holy Matrimony to Bobby James Robinson of Saluda, SC. Those left to mourn her death and rejoice in her memories are her devoted husband, Bobby one son , William Damon Wright, two sisters , Cherlyn (James) Taylor, Pamela (Willie), four brothers, James Earl Cox Jr., William Randolph Cox, Mark A. Cox, and Richard (Victoria) Cox, a uncle Oscar Craggett and a aunt Jacqueline Craggett.
