Hoyt Griffin

Hoyt Griffin born September 23, 1947, in Saluda, SC. a son of the late Sam and Lizzie Taylor-Griffin entered into his Heavenly Home on September 16, 2023, at the Saluda Nursing Center in Saluda, SC. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age, later he worshiped at Lockhart Baptist Church, he attended the public School in Saluda County, Holt retired from the Saluda County Road and Bridges.

Along with his parents Hoyt was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Earnest and Viola Taylor, two sisters, Addie Mae Culbreath and Lousie Griffin, two brothers Earnest Taylor and Ira Griffin, two nephews, Anthony Culbreath and Tyrone Culbreath.

Left to cherish precious memories of Hoyt are his sister, Irene Griffin of Temple Hill, Maryland, two brothers Jimmy Griffin of Landover, Maryland and Hampton Griffin of Washington, DC., also left to mourn his passing are his nieces, Joann ( Kenny ) Griffin of Newberry, SC, Theresa Griffin of Landover, Maryland, Crystal Griffin, Yoshema (Larry) Lott, Deborah Culbreath, Malisa Esposito and Matasha Griffin, his nephews,  Jerome (Roberta) Culbreath, Tim (Renee) Culbreath, Calvin Culbreath, Maurice Culbreath, Hayward (Susie) Culbreath and Craig Griffin, a special friend Jimmy Wiggins and Reverend Barnard Daniel.
