Jessie B. Williams born on May 16, 1927, in Laurens, SC a daughter of the late R.S. and Phyllis Byrd, on February 8, 2024, she peacefully entered into her Heavenly Home at her daughter's home in Maryland. Jessie received her education in the public school in Laurens, SC, a member of Lockhart Baptist Church where she held fast to her faith embracing Christ and carrying His teachings with unwavering devotion. As an integral member of Lockhart generously contributed to the Pastor Aide Ministry and readily assisted wherever she was needed.
Jessie was known for her hospitality, her home was a haven where all who entered were greeted warmly and treated to her delectable cooking. As the matriarch of her family she took immense pride in extending her love and care not only to her children but to her extended family and friends, whom some revered her as a second mother.
Left to cherish her loving memories are her children, four sons, Tyrone Williams (Deborah) of Fredericksburg, Va., Charles Williams (Mary) of Laurens, SC, Tony Williams (Audrey) of Upper Marlboro and Jesse Williams of Saluda, SC, one daughter Jacqueline Williams of Upper Marlboro, Md., grandsons, Marlon Tyrone Williams of Desoto, Tx., Charles Toshay Williams (Pearl) of Capital Heights, Md., Tony Williams and Christopher Antonio Williams both of Upper Marlboro, Md., granddaughters, Mia Griffin (Reggie) of Arlington, Tx., Kavia Williams of Temple Hill, Md., and Raeshaun Hackett of Atlanta, Ga., great grandchildren, Bryce Oglesby of Arlington, Tx., Michael Charles Williams, Dyshaun Tyrese Williams of Dallas, Tx., and Mya Oglesby of Atlanta, Ga., great- great granddaughters, Lorealyn Williames and Jade Williams both of Dallas, Tx., one sister Celest Burton of Silver Springs, Md.,. and her loving nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
