Ricky Fitzgerald Gaines "Rick" born in Saluda, SC to the late Freddie L. Gantt and the late Dorothy Gaines a graduate from Saluda High School employed at Pioneer Foods in Greenwood, SC and Kraft Heinz in Newberry, SC. "Rick" loved working on automobiles and for sports he was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan.
In addition, with his parents Ricky is also preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Daniels and Tamika Gantt.
He leaves to cherish precious memories and special moments his sons, Ricky Smith of New York, Kingston Stevens of Saluda, SC, and Montez Gaines of Columbia, SC a daughter, Zaurla Gaines of Greenwood, SC two grandchildren, Zynay Burt and London McGrath, both of Saluda, SC two sisters Charlene Gaines and Tara (Rudy) Bletcher both of Saluda, SC and a stepsister, Gloria Palmore of Prosperity, SC, Frederick Gantt of United States Military. Also left to mourn Ricky's passing are his aunts: Barbara Gaines of Philadelphia, Pa. and Betty Daniels, Minnie Pearl Herbert, and Freda Gantt all of Saluda, SC and his brother in-law Oscar Lee Daniels of Saluda, SC, a host of nieces and nephews; a close friends Larry Tucker, Dexter Tucker, Mike Jeter, Calvin Abney, John Allen, Mike Godlock, Millikan Mathews, and Thomas Farrow (Tom Tom) a host of loving relatives and extended family and many sorrowing friends.
Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at two in the after Logan Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Mt. Enon Baptist Church.
