Sylvester Clark

Sylvester Clark Sr. entered into His Heavenly Home on May 9, 2020 to be with His Savior Jesus Christ. A son of Willie Clark Jr., and the late Ida M. West-Clark. Born in Saluda County. A member of Mine Creek Baptist Church at a early age, He attended the public school in Saluda where he played varsity football as a line backer. A graduate from Job Corp in Morganfield, Kentucky where he graduated as a Electrician in 1995, he played Semi Pro Football for the Evansville Indiana Blue Cats for four Years.

Sylvester "Pookie" will be missed by his family : four children Sylvester Clark Jr. he joined the United States Air Force, December Clark of Warrenville SC, Sophia Clark and Elizabeth Clark both of Augusta Ga., his parents , Willie Clark Jr., and step mother Delois Clark, of Saluda, SC, four brothers Freddie (Deborah) Clark and Willie (Annie) West both of Johnston, SC., Melvin West of Maryland, and Larry (Kim) West of Greenwood, one sister Dorothy (Melvin) Cook of Augusta Ga., two grandchildren , Aubrey and Micah Holloway of Warrenville SC., five Step Sisters, Dora Fraizer,, Barbara West, and Deloris Davis of Trenton SC., Annie West of Maryland  Betty (Karl) Andrews of Johnston, SC., one step brother Freddie (Doris) West, of Trenton  SC. nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles relatives and friends. 

Service arrangements will be Graveside on May 15, 2020 at 2pm  Garden Memorial Cemetery in Edgefield SC, The Right Reverend Doctor Willie Abney Presiding , Reverend Annette Mathis Words of comfort. Logan Funeral Home assisted the family.,Family viewing Thursday May 14, 2020 at 1pm until, public viewing 2pm to 7:30pm
